Would you like to make a real impact on the discussions shaping the future of Europe and Asia? Are you keen to work with a diverse team as part of a multinational think tank? Do you already have some experience working in a think tank, or are you looking to gain some? Are you interested in policy work and cultural exchange? Then you have come to the right place!

Here at STEAR, we are looking to shape the future of Europe-Asia relations and change the world for the better. We recognise that young people today are expected to do more in less time than ever before. We want you to see the opportunity of working for us as more than just another name on your CV. We want to help you grow as a professional and as a person - and have some fun along the way.

In joining STEAR you have the opportunity to be part of a growing and ambitious think tank, the first youth organisation focusing on Europe-Asia relations, producing high quality content and offering unique opportunities to youth across Eurasia. You get to be part of a dynamic network of young people from across the world and work with them on projects of your choosing. We believe in community-based and community-led learning. You will not so much be asked to participate in a project as to innovate and create one.

Besides the network and experience, we are keen to offer a professional development programme, through our unique events and trainings, allowing you to expand your skillset.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic thinking appropriate to the role

  • Extensive leadership experience (preferably in an international context)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal

  • Proven project management skills

  • Must be proactive and self-reliant

  • An ability to lead and work in a multicultural environment

Preferred: Extensive network of various stakeholders in civil society, public, and private sectors

Vice-President for External Affairs

Qualifications:

  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken!)

  • Proven time management skills

  • Must be proactive and self-reliant

Vice-President for Organisational Development & Growth

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English

  • High degree of professionalism and attention to detail

  • Ability of long-term strategic thinking

Preferred

  • First experience in data management and analysis, and producing reports

  • A network of stakeholders in civil society, public, and/or private sectors

  • Leadership experience (ideally in an international context)

  • Strong digital skills

  • Experience working in a multicultural organisation

  • Experience with formatting texts into publishable content (Canva)
