Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I've been accepted?

We will review all applications after submission. All applicants will be notified before the 15th of May. If you are unsuccessful in your application, we will not be able to give you full feedback.

What do the fees cover?

Fees include accommodation, full board for the week, activities throughout the week and the weekend excursion to London. The fees DO NOT include flights, visa applications, travel insurance and any additional personal expenses.

Can I apply for a scholarship?

There are limited places for scholarships. These will be selected on a merit and needs basis. You will be notified whether you are successful in receiving the scholarship in your acceptance email. We highly recommend contacting your university to request support for funding the course yourself.

Do I need to apply for a visa?

Depending on your nationality, you will either need to obtain your visa before travelling or you can request entry as a Standard Visitor at the border. You can check if you need to apply for your visa before travelling on the gov.uk website.

Do I need to get travel insurance?

Yes. If selected to join the programme, you will need to confirm your place by providing proof of insurance and flight confirmation. We highly recommend using a well-estblished insurance company that covers your health, personal belongings and any cancellations (e.g. flights).

When is the payment deadline?

Students will need to pay the full fees of £1,599 by the 1st of June. Payment will need to be done by international bank transfer to an account based in the UK.

Can I get a refund for the programme?

Requests for refunds will not be accepted after the 30th June, 2022. As this is a not-for-profit programme, your confirmation will be needed to secure the costs incured for organising the summer school.

COVID-19 information

CEASS will follow the UK government regulations. We require all successful applicants to be double vaccinated by July 2022; proof of vaccination might be requested. More information will be given to successful applicants before arrival.
