About the Event
Whether on the news, in academic courses, or in the Podcast charts, nowadays China is difficult to ignore. In the contexts of STEAR too, China has been ever-present, with the EU Ambassador to China our first ever guest speaker, and dozens of events and publications thinking about what China’s position in the world means for Europe-Asia Relations.
It is clear then that understanding China is one of the keys to strengthening Europe-Asia relations, and how better to understand the country than to live and study in it? Our Studying in China panel will feature four panellists studying on two of China’s leading scholarship programmes: two Schwarzman Scholars, based at Tsinghua University, and two Yenching Scholars, based at Peking University.
During our hour-long panel discussion, participants will have the chance to speak to our panellists about the admissions process, life in Beijing, differences from undergraduate to postgraduate life, and everything in between.
